Best Local Pizza Restaurants in Charlotte

New York? Chicago? Charlotte? Get the best Za' in town...

Who has the best pizza in Charlotte? It’s a tough question. Thin crust or Sicilian? White sauce or red? Should we even bring up pineapple? Don’t worry, we’ve narrowed it down. These are the pizza slices in Charlotte you absolutely have to try.

Inizio Pizza Napoletana

There’s something about the buffalo mozzarella and fresh dough at Inizio that will keep you coming back for more. They offer two types of pizzas: ones with red sauce and ones without. We recommend the Pistachio pizza, it’s on the menu year-round. If you go in the summer, try their seasonal Limone e Capra pizza. In the fall, they have a pumpkin cannoli that will definitely get you feeling the season.

Pizza Omaggio

The definition of the Italian word 'Omaggio' means homage, to pay tribute, respect, a gift. Pizza Omaggio brings all of that and a classic taste of Italy to Midtown Charlotte. The look, feel, and ambience inside creates a very authentic setting. Their menu has 23 delicious pizzas to choose from, along with pasta dishes, calzones, and tasty sandwiches.

Benny Pannelo's

Charlotte locals love Benny’s, and for good reason. The artsy vibe, the late night hours, and the loud music set a vibe for sure. But people definitely come back time and time again for the pizza slices that are guaranteed the largest pizza slices in town at 14 inches. Yep, their full pies are 28 inches wide. Plus, the prices are affordable, making Benny’s one of our top picks.

Fuel Pizza & Wings

Fuel has been around longer than most restaurants in town, and now has four locations in Charlotte. If you’re pro pineapple-on-pizza, try the Aloha. If you’re looking for a more traditional Italian flavor, try the Brooklyn Bridge. There are two things that set Fuel apart: the wings on the menu and their late night hours. No matter what time you go, don’t forget the garlic knots!

Brooklyn Pizza Parlor

Brooklyn Pizza Parlor is in the Colony Place Shopping Center. The relaxed setting makes it perfect for a date night or a casual business meeting. Like a thick crust on your pizza? Try the Sicilian from Brooklyn Pizza Parlor. They really have something for everyone—strombolis, calzones, baked pizzas, the whole nine yards.

Lorenzo's Pizzeria

Lorenzo’s just celebrated 10 years in their South Charlotte location. This is fast, casual, New York style pizza at its best. Lorenzo’s also offers catering options, perfect for holidays and corporate events. Want to bring authentic Lorenzo’s to your kitchen? You can buy a ball of fresh dough and sauce from Lorenzo’s and have fun making pizza at home.
